Were You Born to Explore?

The Explorer is one of the main Divine Masculine archetypes. We all, regardless of gender, have varying levels of this archetype within us.

This person is confident, adventurous and excited for the world around them. They believe in equality and fairness and see this as a necessary quality to anchor themselves in their identity when they travel around.

The Explorer does not just have a longing to travel, but they have a burning desire within them to experience their lives to the limit. They want to soak up as much life as they possibly can while they are here. They will not explore to the detriment of their responsibilities but will find a way to include adventure into their everyday lives.

They want to experience new and unusual things, but they are also balanced by the stability in their lives. They are bold lovers and will not shy away from fully expressing themselves. They are courageous and see obstacles as something to be overcome, not as something that will stop them.

Their minds work quickly, always seeking solutions and new innovative creations to bring to the world. This quality is what makes life exciting and keeps pushing advancements in technology, a necessary part of human evolution and survival.

When balanced with other complimentary energies the Explorer is the most exciting and beautiful energy to see. When unbalanced this person may feel they can’t be free if they have structure or responsibilities. The wounded Divine Masculine Explorer will associate commitment with being smothered, tied down and restricted. 

The Explorer balances their wandering spirit with structure and an earthy way of life. They can achieve this with grounding techniques such as sea swimming, hiking, Qigong, meditation and living with an open heart. These are stabilising forces that help their wild, wandering spirit to feel safe and free.
